Talk Title: Molecular recognition mechanism in molecularly imprinted polymers for substituted carbamazepines by chromatography, NMR spectroscopy and computational chemistry
Dr. Jun Haginaka is a pharmacist from Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan with a PhD in pharmaceutical Sciences in 1982 from the same University. He promoted to Full Professor in 1994 at Mukogawa Women’s University through Lecturer and Associate Professor. In 2020, he was retired and is now the Director of Institute for Biosciences in Mukogawa Women’s University. His research interests include analysis of drugs and their metabolites in biological fluids by chromatographic and electrophoretic methods; preparation and application of protein-based stationary phases; and preparation and application of molecularly imprinted polymers. He has published about 250 original research papers, 30 review articles and 30 book chapters, and has held 25 patents. His awards include the Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry Award for Young Scientists, the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan Award for Young Scientists, the Society for Chromatographic Sciences Award, the Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry Award, the Molecular Chirality Award and The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan Award for Divisional Scientific Contribution.
